Adding a child to 23snaps

On the website

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings then open the My Family tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the Your Children section, and then click on the Add a New Child button. Then all you have to do is add the name, date of birth, and gender of your child. You can then add a profile picture to show all of your friends and family what they look like! When you’re finished remember to click on the orange Save button again to ensure your child’s timeline is added to your account.

    

 

On the app

If you have a newly registered account, the option to add a child will appear on the first page of the app. simply tap the orange Add Children button. The enter your child’s name, date of birth and gender, and choose a profile picture, then click Save to complete the process.

 

 

If you have already added content or connections, the option to add a child will no longer appear on the Newsfeed. Instead, you can add a child from your account settings.

 

On the iOS app

Tap the More button and then select Manage my Family, then tap the Add a Child button. Enter your child’s name, date of birth and gender, and choose a profile picture, then click Save to complete the process.

   

 

On the Android App

Tap the Menu button and then select Manage my Family, then tap the Add a Child button. Enter your child’s name, date of birth and gender, and choose a profile picture, then click Save to complete the process.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Can I create a profile for my child if they aren’t born yet?

Of course you can! Just follow the instructions to add a child to your account, simply update the name and date of birth as and when you know it. The profile picture could be of your ultrasound scan or baby bump, it’s entirely up to you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Setting or changing your child’s profile picture

On the website

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings then open the My Family tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the Your Children section. You will then need to click on the Change Picture button under the correct child’s image, and simply select the image you wish to use and click Open/Upload. The new photo will be saved automatically.

  

 

On the iOS app

Tap the More button and select Manage my Family. Select child whose picture you want to set/change, and then tap the current image of your child. You can then choose between deleting the current picture, taking a new photo or choosing one from your library. Select the image you want to use, and hit the Done button, finally tap Save in the top right corner of the screen and your child’s profile picture will be updated immediately.

   

  

 

On the Android app

Tap Menu and scroll down to Manage your children, then tap the grey Options button to the right of the child whose picture you want to set/change, select the Profile Info option and then tap the current image of your child. You can then choose between deleting the current picture, taking a new photo or choosing one from your library. Select the image you want to use, and hit the Done button, finally tap Submit in the top right corner of the screen and your child’s profile picture will be updated immediately.

  

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Change the wallpaper image at the top of your child’s timeline

On the website

Click on the My Family tab in the menu bar at the top of the page. Select the child whose wallpaper image you would like to change by clicking on their thumbnail image. In the top right corner of the wallpaper image is a gear icon, click this button and select your new image using the same system you would use to upload a photo.

On the iOS app

Tap the More button and then select Manage my Family. Tap the name of the child whose profile you wish to edit, then tap Select Wallpaper. Now you can choose between one of our provided wallpapers or you can Tap to Add Photo from your device gallery, when you have made your selection, tap Save.

     

 

On the Android app

Tap Menu and scroll down to Manage my Family. Tap the name of the child whose profile you wish to edit, then tap Select Wallpaper. Now you can choose between one of our provided wallpapers or you can Tap to Add Photo from your device gallery, when you have made your selection, tap Save.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Connect with a partner

You can connect your 23snaps account with another user, who will then be your Partner. A partner will then have the ability to co-manage your family's account, and help build your child's timeline. 

A partner can be anyone that spends time with you and your child (another parent, a grandparent or perhaps a nanny/childminder). Please note that it is only possible to add one partner. However, other people in your network can also tag your child - to help build their timeline, pending your approval.

 

On the website

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings from the dropdown menu, and open the My Family tab. You will then be given the opportunity to enter your partner’s email address, and a personalised message, to send them an invitation to connect. Once you've entered the relevant information, just click Send Invitation. Once they have confirmed, your account will automatically update to a partnered account.

    

 

On the iOS app

Tap the More button and then select Manage my Family. Then click on Add a Partner, you will then be given the opportunity to enter your partner’s email address to send them an invitation to connect. Once they have confirmed your account will automatically update to a partnered account.

     

 

On the Android app

Tap the Menu button in the top left hand corner. Scroll down to Manage my Family and then click on Add a Partner, you will then be given the opportunity to enter your partner’s email address to send them an invitation to connect. Once they have confirmed your account will automatically update to a partnered account.

   

 

 

 

 

 

Cancel a pending partner invitation

If you have sent a partner invitation, and then change your mind ... don't panic! You can cancel it before it has been accepted. If it has already been accepted, you can still disconnect from your new partner.

On the web:

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings from the dropdown menu, and open the My Family tab. Locate the pending invitation under the Your Partner heading, and click Cancel Request. 

  

 

On the app:

Open the Manage My Family page and click on the Invite Partner option. Now, click on the red Withdraw Invitation button and, when prompted, click Yes to confirm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Disconnect from a partner

Please note; by disconnecting from your partner, you will disband the family unit you have created on 23snaps. As the person deleting the partner connection, you will keep any children's profiles associated with yours or your partner's accounts, but your partner will keep all of their own content. 

On the web

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings then open the My Family tab. Locate the Your Partner section, and then click the Remove Partner option situated to the right your existing partners name. 

  

 

On the iOS app

Click on the Menu tab in the top left hand corner, scroll down to the Manage my Family option and click on "Partner's Name", now you just need to click the red Remove button.

Please be aware, that when a partnership is dissolved on 23snaps, the person deleting the connection will become the sole owner of any registered children's profiles.

   

 

On the Android app

Click on the Menu tab in the top left hand corner, scroll down to the Manage my Family option and click on "Partner's Name", now you just need to click the red Remove button.

Change your family's profile picture

On the web:

Click on "Your Name" on the Menu bar at the top of the screen, then select Settings then open the My Family tab. Click the Change Picture button under to Family Details heading, and select your new photo. Your new Family Profile Picture will ve saved automatically, there is no need to click Save Changes.

 

 

On the app:

Open your Family Page and click on the Settings button in the top right corner, then select the Change Profile Photo option. Then you can choose whether to Take picture or Choose from library. Simply select your desired photo, and click Save.

   

  

 

 

 

 

Change your family's wallpaper

On the web:

Change your Family Name

At this time this feature is only available on the 23snaps website.

On the web:

Click on "Your Name" in the menu bar at the top of the screen, and select Settings from the dropdown menu. Then open the My Family Tab and under the Family Details Header, enter your new Family Name in the text box provided. Just remember to click Save Changes when you're done.
